Multidisciplinary Training in Alzheimer and Related Dementias
Program Overview
The Knight ADRD T32 program is designed to train the next generation of translational researchers in Alzheimer disease and related dementias (ADRD) through mentored research, professional development training, didactic coursework and ADRD education. The program offers salary support (stipends) for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows for 1-3 years and supports Washington University medical students interested in a year in ADRD research and Meharry medical students in the Summer Research Program offered through the Office of Medical Student Research. In addition to salary/stipend support, T32 trainees receive support for travel and other research expenses, focused training in ADRD research, and additional mentoring and opportunities to participate in grant-writing and other career- development events.
The program aims to accelerate the development of treatments for ADRD and increase the diversity of the ADRD research workforce by enhancing clinical and translational science experiences for young investigators and promoting multidisciplinary, team-based research.
