Applications to become a REC scholar will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Overall potential for a career in ADRD research
- Potential for REC support to have a positive impact on the trainee’s career trajectory
- Availability of resources, issues related to diversity and inclusion of both research disciplines in ADRD research and of trainees (women, URM, and those with disabilities) and diversity of the applicant’s proposed research area
- REC support would typically be for two years, but trainees will be reviewed and reappointed annually
