The Knight ADRC T32 offers medical students:

  • A Year-Long Research Program (YRP) training program designed for WUSM medical students.
  • A short-term training programs designed for Meharry Medical College medical students. This 2-3 month program is held in the summer and includes a stipend.

Program Details

These programs prepare trainees for careers in ADRD research by providing a combination of mentored research, professional education, and ADRD training. Trainees can tailor their experience to meet their specific professional goals and ongoing research projects, though core program elements include:

  • Mentored research experience that is distinct from home laboratory
  • Individual Development Plan (IDP) to address training and career goals
  • Monthly career development seminars Poster presentation opportunities
  • Program orientation
  • Participation in relevant journal clubs and seminars
