Overview

The CDR®-FTLD is the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) Dementia Staging Instrument developed at Washington University in St. Louis with the addition of the NACC frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) module. The FTLD Module was implemented in 2012 as part of the UDS. The Module is aimed at evaluating those suffering from, or at risk for, any of the forms of frontotemporal lobar degeneration and assesses impairment in the behavior and language domains.

Licensing and Use

The Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) Dementia Staging Instrument is a copyrighted instrument which must be licensed separately from the FTLD Module. If you would like to use the CDR as part of your research or clinical practice, you must secure a license first by visiting our Office of Technology Management’s CDR licensing page.
