The Clinician Partners Program (CPP) is a 1.5 day “mini residency” in dementia diagnosis and care. Sessions are facilitated by world-class dementia researchers and Washington University School of Medicine clinical faculty. This CME program is designed for clinicians (MD, DO, PA, FNP, advanced practice nurses) who see older adult patients in rural areas of Missouri and metro-adjacent Illinois.
Clinicians that take part will receive:
- Paid hotel accommodations in St. Louis
- Reimbursement for travel (including parking)
- Reimbursement for dinner, with other meals provided
- 12-14 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit
- Resource materials
The Program’s Itinerary

- Early Detection, Testing, Diagnostic Guidelines
- Understanding AD Biomarkers
- Differential Diagnosis
- AD Treatment and Psychiatric Considerations
- Clinical Trials and Directions in Research
- The Caregiving Experience: Stress, Safety and Managing Challenging Behaviors
- Non-pharmacological Intervention and Symptom Management
- Health Disparities and Overcoming Barriers
- Safety Considerations: Falls, Driving, Medications and Weapons
