Before you begin…
- Have you reviewed the Guidelines & Data Available page?
- Have you considered searching existing resource requests?
- Do you have your research rationale ready? The Word or PDF file (3 page limit not including references and figures) should include the following information: purpose, background and preliminary data, methods, inclusion and exclusion criteria, analytic plan, sample size justification and a list of data variables.
- Resource request forms must be completed in one sitting. You cannot submit a partial request and update it later.

Why should I search existing requests?
To avoid competing and possible conflicting projects, the Knight Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center has a search existing requests page which allows investigators to search by appropriate keywords to determine if a topic has previously been examined in some way. Often the same research question can be approached from multiple perspectives. If you find that your topic or a related topic has been submitted, you may wish to contact the investigator to inquire about their findings to determine how you might proceed. You may wish to collaborate or modify your request to avoid overlap.
