Bandwidth
You will need a sustained download speed of at least 1.5Mbps. It is generally not recommended to access the training over a VPN, cellular network, or via a remote desktop session.
Video Player Requirements
There are no specific browser or OS based restrictions; however, you should consult the firewall sections further below.
Browser Addons/Extensions/Plugins
It is strongly recommended that you temporarily disable or pause any popup or ad blockers while taking the training if you have issues with the training properly functioning. While uncommon, some problems may also occur while running malware blocking/scanning plugins.
Public (Free) CDR Training and Firewalls
Locations that employ firewalls, proxy servers, or actively block or throttle streaming content may pose problems to your streaming experience. You may receive buffering notices or not even be able to see or play the video. All of these scenarios are outside of our control. You will need to contact your technical support group. We cannot provide assistance or alternative methods to access the training videos. If your institution does not allow videos from other websites like YouTube, Hulu, Netflix and so forth, a firewall policy is blocking streaming content.
If the video player below loads, and the video itself plays with audio and video, your firewall settings should permit you to take the online, Public (Free) CDR Training. By clicking the CC button on the player window, you should also be able to select and then see the available subtitles displayed while the video plays.
If the video player below doesn’t load or play, you are likely behind a firewall that filters streaming content. Reach out to your IT group and provide them this information. You may also consider using a VPN service to bypass your current filtering restrictions.
Private (Contracted) CDR Training and Firewalls
If the video player below loads, and the video itself plays with audio and video, your firewall settings should permit you to take the online, Private (Contracted) CDR Training. By clicking the CC button on the player window, you should also be able to select and then see various available subtitles displayed while the video plays.
If the video player below doesn’t load or play, you are likely behind a firewall that filters streaming content. Reach out to your IT group and provide them this information.
